Due to some dangerous situations in the limited airspace around Mürren / Stechelberg we have had to find a solution acceptable to both paragliders and BASE – jumpers. Jumping can continue under following agreement:
- No BASE jumping before 4.00 PM / 16.00 H Most of the tandem paragliding and student activity is over by 4 pm, but there will still be paragliders around, so be vigilant! There could be congestion at the exit points due to this time restriction so make sure you communicate with groundcrew and other exitpoints, especially if you plan to fly along the wall. - Do not use the paraglider landing area They don’t want us there because we may scare pilots in the final approach. Please use one of the two BASE landing areas. Be careful! Power lines! - Do not fly across / open above the paraglider landing area. - Never be close to a paraglider in freefall. Please respect this agreement; otherwise we could lose these exitpoints. These are advanced jumps and not suitable for everyone. Be prepared.
